1970년대부터 뮤지션들이 매일밤 라이브에서 참고해 온 이 책은 불법 복제, 제본되어 퍼졌기 때문에 저작권법에 저촉되고 결과적으로 이 걸작들을 작곡한 작곡자들에게는 로열티가 전혀 돌아가지 않았다는 큰 문제가 있었습니다.

이렇게 유통되던 책을 Hal Leonard가 이제 합법적으로 출판하게 되었습니다.
오리지널과 전혀 차이가 안느껴지면서도 악명높았던 오류들은 다 수정되었습니다.
오리지널 버전과 똑같은 커버와 활자체, 그리고 거의 똑같은 송 리스트들을 담고 있으면서도 가격은 더 쌉니다!
